At least six persons have been reported dead in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, after twin blasts occurred in the early hours of Tuesday. Twelve others were injured in the attack.
The blasts are said to have occurred in two different locations – the Central Motor Park and at Gasua Maiduguri by-pass. Those injured have been taken to the Damaturu Specialist Hospital for treatment. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks that bear the marks of the Boko Haram terrorist group which had carried out series of attacks in the state in recent past.
