Lamar Odom's kidney miraculously improves, no longer needs dialysis

Image result for images of lamar odom

Just yesterday it was reported that the former basketball player needs a a new kidney and will be on 6 hours of dialysis daily but as of this morning, he has miraculously healed and doesn't need this anymore. ..at least this is according to TMZ. Read their report below...
Lamar has made a shocking turnaround ... his kidney's have improved so much he'll be off 6 hours of daily dialysis and he won't need a kidney transplant ... TMZ has learned.
We're told the big hurdle for days has been Lamar's kidneys and they've responded so well in the last 48 hours they've moved him from the ICU where he was getting dialysis in a private room.
Doctors told Lamar his kidney problems were life-threatening, and they told him they're surprised at the dramatic improvement.
Lamar is on the floor where hospital staff performs physical therapy. We're told Lamar's motor skills are impaired from the strokes, and he'll undergo increasingly rigorous therapy to regain function.
We're told the Kardashians are happy about the news, with one big caveat ... Lamar's now able to make his own decisions, and he hasn't necessarily chosen wisely during the last few months.

Amaechi’s Confirmation: Wike Has Been Put To Shame – Rivers APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has described today’s confirmation of the immediate past Governor of the State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as a Minister by the Senate as a victory over the forces of darkness. “These dark forces as represented by Caretaker Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, went to absurd lengths in their plot to stop Amaechi from becoming a Minister but Almighty God has used President Muhammadu Buhari and the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to scatter their evil plans,” Rivers APC said in the statement signed by the Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya and issued Thursday in the State capital, Port Harcourt.
According to the party, “29th October, 2015, will remain a great milestone in the annals of Rivers State when against all odds, centering around the mischievous propaganda by enemies of the State led by the impostor Governor Nyesom Wike, the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria confirmed one of the best sons of Rivers State, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as a Minister despite the sinister petitions against him by misguided enemies of Rivers State.
“ We have come to understand that truly God is with Amaechi and none of the plots by his enemies can have any impact in his life if the meanings of his names are anything to go by – Chibuike, which means ‘God is all Powerful’ and Rotimi, an abridged version of Oluwadurotimi, meaning ‘the Lord stands by me’, while Amaechi means ‘who knows tomorrow?’ plays a lot in most of the actions of this patriotic, an enigma, the Lion of Niger Delta Politics, the Pillar and embodiment of the change mantra in the politics of Nigeria and a true son of God. “The Eighth Senate has by this action proved that they are not only patriotic and nationalist but also that they cannot allow petty politics to becloud their sense of reasoning as they seek to accomplish the onerous task of building a virile, vibrant, united and strong Nigeria.”
Rivers APC warmly commended President Buhari for nominating Amaechi and the Eighth Senate for confirming him, “thereby disappointing the very enemies of Rivers who by their devilish acts painted Rivers State and her people as ingrates who have no regard and respect for her leaders.” The party pleaded with Nigerians not to judge Rivers people by the vindictive actions of Wike and his cohorts as Rivers State and her people are good-natured and great people.
Rivers APC thanked God that “Wike, who has done everything humanly possible to bring down Amaechi, who made him politically, has been put to shame along with his collaborators, especially Senator Thompson Sekibo. “They should not only bury their faces in shame but should also apologise to Nigerians for their failed coup against their benefactor,” the party said. It declared that Wike and his co-travelers have formally buried their political careers as they have proved that they are the greatest enemies of Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole.” It said that “to show practical appreciation to God, the party has set in motion machinery for thanksgiving services to our great God for shaming the enemies of Rivers State and upholding his son at this critical time. In this regard, Muslims should use this Friday, 30th October, to worship in their mosques while Christians should embark upon thanksgiving this Sunday, 1st November, 2015. We must pray out the evil cabal currently ruining our State in the name of governance.”

Stanbic IBTC kicks as FRC suspends directors, KPMG

stanbic
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has suspended the registration of four directors of Stanbic IBTC and that of its audit engagement partner, KPMG for what it said was ‘financial misstatements’.
The FRC also called on the Central Bank Nigeria (CBN) and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to investigate Stanbic IBTC and KPMG.
The council in a report released on Monday, also noted, that KPMG Professional Services, remains suspended until its innocence in the matter is ascertained. But reacting to the report, Stanbic IBTC Holdings described the FRC allegations as “inaccurate and unfortunate”, noting, that “although the matter is in court, we are constrained to respond to certain aspects of the report for the benefit of our stakeholders and the general public. “Stanbic IBTC is a very responsible organisation and fully complies with all extant laws and regulations in Nigeria and international best practices applicable to the conduct of its business”. Although the FRC named four directors suspended to include Atedo Peterside, Sola David-Borha, Arthur Oginga and Dare Owei, but the bank said, “Contrary to the media reports, the Directors of Stanbic IBTC have NOT been ousted. The directors, who are from Nigeria and elsewhere, are reputable individuals who uphold the best corporate governance practices and whose credibility, integrity and proven track record are impeccable”. The bank is alleged to have misstated its financial reports for the 2013-2014 fiscal year and ceded its banking application rights to Standard Bank of South Africa against the directives of National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP).
According to FRC, “the schedules supplied to the council by Stanbic IBTC revealed that the total fee paid to KPMG Professional Services for non-audit services was inconsistent with what was disclosed in the financial statements for the years under review”.
The bank was also alleged to have flouted a number of financial regulations, including a regular flouting of CBN regulations.

Lesbian Scandal Rocks Kogi University: Sex Video Goes Viral

anal-lesbians_jpg.jpg Anal Lesbians
Kogi State University is in the news for unpleasant reasons as lesbian sex videos involving students of the university recently emerged on the campus. Some of the students involved are those of Economics and English Education departments.
The two students in one of the videos monitored by Vanguard, revealed how deep the culture of lesbianism had infiltrated the female hostels in the school. One of the students is considering leaving the school to avoid possible stigmatization as the videos
had gone viral. A female student in the Department of Zoology who craved anonymity, told Vanguard that lesbianism was becoming a big issue in the university. She said young, fresh undergraduates were lured into the immoral club as many of them do not know what was in it before joining the lesbian ring. “Kogi State University is fast becoming the comfort zone for lesbians. Many Jambites are lured into the ring because they don’t even know what it is all about. ‘’What they do now is to relocate off-campus in order to enjoy the privacy needed for their illicit and immoral act. Once in it, it is so difficult to renounce because lesbians share a lot of gifts to keep victims in it. ‘’The authorities of this school may need to take drastic steps to restore the moral integrity and discipline for which we were known,” she said.
When Vanguard got in contact with one of the lesbians, she said she was lured into lesbianism in her first week on campus by a very wealthy 300 student. She said she was not aware that their sex escapades were recorded, threatening to quit the university in order to save the integrity of her family. “My attention was drawn to the video in circulation by one of my friends. When I watched it, I knew that was the end of my stay in this school. ‘’Many of my course mates already have the video, so it will be difficult for me to continue my academic programme because of possible stigmatization. I have brought shame to myself and my family,” she lamented.
Although the school authorities are yet to release an official statement on the scandal, sources close to the authorities said investigations into the issue of lesbianism among the students had commenced.

LAGOS TO PROCURE THREE HELICOPTERS TO BATTLE CRIME, TACKLE TRAFFIC

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Sunday said that his administration has concluded plans to procure three helicopters next month to enable security agencies tackle criminal activities from the air as well assist in monitoring traffic gridlock to ease movement across the metropolis.
Governor Ambode, who spoke as guest on a popular radio programme – Soni Irabor Live (SIL) on Inspiration FM, said he was deeply concerned about pockets of robberies in some areas of the state in recent times, expressing optimism that the helicopters will go a long way to aid security and traffic surveillance in the state. He said that the government would also boost the operation of Marine Police and the Nigerian Navy on the waterways in the state, and that various equipments and platforms would soon be presented to them.
The Governor said at least 220 roads across the state has been rehabilitated in the last four months just as he has mandated and empowered all the Local Government Areas and the Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) to construct a total of 114 roads. He assured the people of the state that his administration is working hard to build a safer, cleaner and more prosperous state for all irrespective of creed or colour. He pleaded with Lagosians to work with his administration and support him to take Lagos to the next level where there will be prosperity for all. According to him, “We are in this together, all Lagosians. It is your government; you put me there; I’m your servant and I’m ready for criticism. I’m listening and I believe strongly that you have a say in this government because it is an inclusive government. No matter where you come from, no matter your creed or colour, this is your government. “I appeal that Lagosians should join hands with me; tolerate whatever it is that you are seeing and make sure that you also carry out your own civic obligations. Pay your taxes because it is the only way that Lagos can grow and you know, the bottom line is this, we all need to work together to achieve a safer Lagos; a cleaner Lagos; and a more prosperous Lagos and that is what all of us are going to do,” he said.
The Governor, who spoke on wide ranging issues affecting the state, assured that a flyover bridge will soon be constructed at the Ajah Roundabout, and that the Lagos State Public Works Corporation has equally been mandated to fix all potholes in the state both on Federal, State and Local Government roads to ease vehicular movement.
While lamenting the situation whereby over 3, 000 tankers visit Lagos on a daily basis to lift fuel, Governor Ambode said that the population of Lagos keeps increasing, and same was due to the fact that the state is working. He said out of the foreign direct investment in the country this year, 99.1 percent came to Lagos, and that there was a need for the people to appreciate the growing population in the state.
The Governor, who acknowledged that the current 2, 100 staff strength of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) was not enough to effectively control traffic, said young graduates who are ready to be selfless will soon be employed into the agency.
He also clarified his directive to officials of the agency not to impound vehicles, saying the order was aimed at bringing about civility in their operations, adding that his administration is working to continue where the previous administration stopped with improvement.
Governor Ambode, who explained that his administration was being limited by the Appropriation Law of 2015, promised that more roads and projects will be accommodated in the 2016 budget, and pleaded for understanding from the people.
He said the state government was taking the initiative to address major issues in the state, revealing that a total of 63 communities in the Lekki-Ajah axis, which have been in darkness for over five years, will be connected to the national grid before the end of the year.
He said for now, the State Government is awaiting President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, especially on the policy direction of the government on power so as to know how to bring in investors, however, his administration would concentrate on building clusters of Independent Power Projects (IPPs) within the state.

Abia Tribunal Annuls Election Of Emeka Nnamani, Bars APGA From Re-run

The National and State Assemblies Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia has barred the opposition All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, from participating in a fresh election it ordered in Aba North State Constituency.
The tribunal has nullified the election of Mr. Emeka Nnamani of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,representing Aba North State Constituency on the ground that he was ab initio not qualified to contest the election held on April 11,2015. Delivering judgment in the petition filed by Dr. Blessing Nwagba of PDP challenging the election of Nnamani, the tribunal nullified his election and ordered a fresh election in the constituency but said that APGA would not participate in the fresh election. According to the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Sabiu Yahuza, “the petitioner, Dr.Nwagba proved the allegation of non-qualification leveled against the respondent as his name was not in the register of his Eziama Ward of his party, APGA, and ought not to have participated in the said election.”
The panel however exempted APGA from participating in the re-run of the election, saying that it would be between the petitioner’s party, PDP, and the other candidates from the other parties that participated in the April election.
On the allegation that Nnamani forged the certificate of University of Port Harcourt, the tribunal directed the police to investigate the matter and prosecute the respondent if found culpable.
It would be recalled that during the trial, the tribunal admitted in evidence a letter from the Registrar of the University of Port Harcourt disowning Nnamani as a graduate of the University.

2015 Election: Oritsejafor deceived Jonathan with his false prophecy - Chris Okotie

Image result for image of jonathan and oritsejafor
Senior Pastor of the Household of God Church, Chris Okotie, yesterday took a swipe at the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, accusing him of sharing false prophecies with former President Jonathan. Okotie who said this while delivering his sermon at his church yesterday October 25th, said Oritsejafor used false prophecies to make Jonathan contest for the election
"Pastor Oritsejafor deceived Jonathan with a false prophecy from God that he (Jonathan) would win the election convincingly. The man became convinced to contest after Oritsejafor had told him, using CAN’s name, that God had ordained him the winner of the 2015 presidential election.
While I continued to write and speak that Jonathan was not the man, those of them who knew the truth in what I was saying chose to keep quiet out of fear. I told CAN and PFN that Jonathan was not of God; that whosoever would win would be one that had built a tabernacle in the presence of God. I told CAN and PFN that Jonathan did not belong to the House of David and that since he did not belong to the household, his winning would bring more sorrow to Nigeria.” he said.

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi finally screened by the Senate

The immediate past governor of Rivers State Hon. Rotimi Amaechi has just been screened by the Senate following his nomination as minister. Shortly after the Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki acknowledged receipt of his curriculum vitae, Amaechi was told to highlight his achievements as a former speaker and ex-governor. This led to the question-and-answer session when Amaechi answered questions from the senators. Earlier the senate minority leader Senator Godswill Akpabio said the PDP senators had resolved not to ask Amaechi questions bordering on the screening, disclosing they have petitions against the nominee. The Senate Leader, Senate Ali Ndume however opposed the stance of Akpabio and the opposition, saying as a former Speaker and Governor, Amaechi could as well simply bow and go.
On his role as a former chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum(NGF), Amaechi said,"'We refined governance and repositioned leadership under my tenure as Governor. All we did in the Governors Forum was to defend the rights of Nigerians.I find it difficult to do what people want me to do, if it clashes with my principles.Nigerian politicians believe there is need for compromise but not when it clashes with my principles."
On development in key sectors, Amaechi added that: "I believe there are resources in the Niger-Delta, that is why there is Militancy. If I become the Minister for Niger Delta, the East - West Road will be first to be completed. If you invest in Agriculture & invest in Technology, you will hire as many workers as you can get. In Rivers State we established two farms. We must improve on the Social Rights of the people; if you have peace you'll have investors. Why people don't invest in Nigeria is because the cost of investment is higher than the profit' We must also invest in Education; Some of our youths are unemployable".
On corruption, he further said: "I have never collected bribe in my life.If they send a girl to you to do something for her and you sleep with the girl, you are corrupt.Corruption is difficult to define. If we keep to the rule of law, allow a Governor to function as a Governor, that will be it."

LAGOS TO REVIEW SCHOOLS’ CURRICULUM, INTRODUCE TABLETS IN SCHOOLS

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule has challenged education stakeholders in the state to begin the process of reviewing the schools’ curriculum with a view to having tailor-made and purpose-build tablets for students in Lagos State.
Mrs. Adebule, who is overseeing the Ministry of Education, made the call on Tuesday at an inaugural meeting with management and key stakeholders in the education sector, stressed that the move to review schools’ curriculum was informed by the need to align the content of the curriculum with the immediate and future needs of the State.
The Deputy Governor noted that the review of the curriculum was crucial as the content of education curricula actually determines the quality of the manpower that will eventually be produced from such action. She opined that there was the need to review the parameters by which private school adhere to quality assurance; hence she had directed that a meeting with private schools owners be conveyed within the next two weeks.
“I want to meet with private schools’ owners in the State. I believe that there must be a review of the standards used to measure them and any private school that is not ready to abide by set standards will be shown the way out,” the Deputy Governor said. Dr. Adebule emphasized the importance of instituting competitions for teachers in different subject areas especially core subjects like Mathematics and English among others, adding that this competition will go a long way in improving teachers’ capacity and value to education.
She maintained that there is need for members of the education family in the state to redouble their commitment, dedication and passion toward taking education in the state to greater heights in order to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
In her words, “We must ask ourselves those things that must be addressed immediately to take us from where we are. We have been given these appointments because there are works to be done and for us to achieve success in the sector, all hands will have to be on deck.” While thanking members of the education family in Lagos for ensuring progress in the sector, she reminded them of the high expectations of stakeholders and Lagosians who she said have been calling to congratulate her, noting that the calls only confirmed the huge expectations from the public.
“We can only deliver if we understand each other, support and work cooperatively with passion and dedication”, She remarked.

Leaders of Okunraye community, one of the villages hosting the Lekki Free Trade Zone, in the Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos State told a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere on Tuesday that the police were responsible for the killing of the Managing Director of the free trade zone, Alhaji Tajudeen Disu
This claim was in an affidavit in support of a Fundamental rights suit filed before a Lagos High Court against the Police, Directorate of State Security (DSS) and Dangote group. The leaders who condemned the detention of  members of their community, alleged that contrary to reports on the incident, Disu was hit from behind by a stray bullet by the Lagos Mobile Policemen which killed him instantly.
The community also sued the Inspector General of Police, Lagos Police Commissioner, Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS), the Nigerian Army and Ibeju Lekki Local Government. One Alhaji Surajudeen  Salami, who deposed to the affidavit recalled that the Lagos State Government, sometime in 2007, forcefully acquired their land from them. Salami said the people of Okunraye had their homes and native buildings on the land, which was also their source of livelihood. According to him, Disu was killed on a day the community leaders were to meet with Dangote Group, to discuss  job-related issues for eligible community youths in the massive project the company was erecting on their land. Salami said they had made several attempts to discuss with Dangote management but to no avail, adding that the development forced the youths to barricade the entrance into the project site of Dangote in an attempt to compel the company to discuss with the community. At about 9am, Salami said he was informed that a large group of mobile policemen had surrounded the entrance to the project and were burning down the barricade as well as other obstruction.
He said he remembered that the policemen stormed the community on the fateful day and started releasing tear-gas and shooting in the air, adding that at the time the shooting was on-going, the Divisional Police Office in charge of the area was at the palace of the Baale of Okunraye to discuss on how the issue could be resolved. He said people rushed to the Baale's house to inform him of the commotion taking place. The DPO reportedly left the Baale's house to see what was going on. Salami said when he got there he saw Mr Disu and implored him to tell the Policemen to stop shooting because they didn't want to fight, rather they wanted to discuss with the Management of Dangite group but he refused.
Salami said: “When we were imploring Disu, Alhaji Jegede and the Baale of Igiye Community to stop policemen from shooting because the members of Okunraye community did not want to fight and  wanted to discuss with  management of Dangote, the police refused to stop shooting and then a stray bullet hit Mr Disu from behind and he died instantly.” He said the bullet also hit a young woman from the community and she sustained injury on the arm. Salami, who said he saw the policeman that pulled the trigger that killed Disu, alleged that the policemen stopped shooting when they realised that a stray bullet had killed Disu.
