Dear Gov. Amobode,
I am writing you this Close Letter to inform your good office about the current state of lawlessness going on around Oshodi under bridge. It is disheartening that the efforts of our hero former Gov. Fashola is now turning into state of anarchy as result of the commercial drivers activities from Cappa to Oshodi Bolade U-turn.
The recent activities of these drivers is not worthy of emulation as it no longer represent what we used to know Oshodi for in the past 4 months, I am surprised since the inception of this current administration, your office as not really address these rebellions Okada riders and Danfo drivers, they have turn the express way to one way and packed indiscrimately around BRT Bus Stop in the evening despite heavy presence of Security Task force from Alausa around the area. I guess the Lastma and the Police officials are somehow benefiting from this illegal acts. Sir, Quite number of lives has been lost as a result of these one way riders from Oshodi to Dopemu, trust me this wasn’t the case when your predecessor was on board sir. I advise you take a tour to Igbobi hospital and let the records speak for itself, the current rate of accident and death recorded as a result of their (One way drivers) acts under your regime as sky rocketed. I urge you to take bold steps and address this issue just same way you addressed Osodi Apapa Tanker Drivers lawlessness, you will agree with me this is not the type of CHANGE Oshodi people and Lagosians at large bargained for, the legacy of former Gov Fashola and Comm. Muiz Banire on better environment must live on. The Railway line that was massively cleared off traders is gradually becoming hot bed for traders again. If Oshodi could turn to safe haven during Fashola, I believe it can become a paradise under your administration.
Several efforts have been made to draw your attention to the Iyana Dopemu Traffic every evening, Sir, I am confident necessary approvals to open and signalized the Go-Ye Alimosho Rd as an alternative route was approved by former Administration, Probably your Excellency should disguise one evening and take a tour of this route around 6pm, the traffic from Iyana Dopemu extends to Mangoro every day just because people that voted you in are trying to connect to Dopemu bridge since its only way for now to get to Akowonjo. The Go-Ye Road had been tested and trusted as alternative savior to reduce this traffic and saves people’s time. We urge you to mobilize Ministry of works in partnership with FERMA to commence work at once.
Your Excellency Sir, pictures and video evidence are abound to prove all these claims , kindly help to save lives and time of your subjects. Kudos to Lagos Traffic Radio a good initiative of immediate past administration in Lagos for their real time update on how to manage our time on this route. I hope the good people of Alimosho and Agege would get positive actions as a result of this close letter.
