It’s a beautiful month called August. It is a gift so we have to
remain thankful to our creator. How far were you able to go in your
finances for the month of July? Were you able to take down your
expenses? Where exactly did 80% of your income go? What were your
inflows like? Multiple or single streams? Like every corporate
organization, they usually do a monthly performance review. You should
do yours too. This is to see how best they can improve. These are basic
questions you need to ask yourself as you enter into the month of
August.
Take a pen and a paper and let’s do a little mathematics. Let’s roll…
- How much do I owe? Can I afford to pay it all at once or it has to be broken down into months. Structure your payments in line with your cash flow. Can you do without borrowing in a month?
- What portion can I afford to save in the month of August? Get to a point that you save on a daily basis. You will be more conscious of the way you spend.
- Can I add an additional stream of income? How realistic is this? Yes it is realistic. You can do it. Look inwards.
- What portion of my income am I willing to give out to help people? It’s not in the amount but the willingness and the ability.
- How do I take down my expenses? Is it by writing or by using a mobile finance application or by both? When you do both, accuracy in recording your expenses comes in.
- How do I handle my currency notes? You should treat it with respect. #ProjectHandleYourMoneyCorrect
ly . - Am I willing to read a book on finance this month? You should. It helps you understand the importance of having a financial education.
- What portion of my income am I giving to my parents this month? When your parents bless you, it sure impacts on your finances.
- What new investment steps do I want to take this month? There has to be something new about your finances. There has to be increase no matter how marginal.
- Above all, I am going to ask God for the grace to multiply what I have.
As
you go with boldness and determination, keep a mental picture of your
vision in front of you. No matter what happens, be consistent. Give it
all you got. There is a blessing attached to consistency. Your Finances
are blessed. Things will work for you in Jesus name.
